Where the money goes, and what it buys

Every campaign type in the manager account, on one page, over any date range. Built directly from BigQuery.

01What the standard dashboard isn't telling you

02Allocation

Share of spend by campaign type, and what each type returns. The Ads UI will show you one campaign type at a time; it will not put the funnel side by side.

03Spend over time

Daily spend stacked by campaign type. Budget changes and launch dates show up as steps.

04By market (DMA)

The only level where channels compare like for like. Video buys a whole DMA; Performance Max buys one store, and three DMAs hold more than one. Rolling PMax up to the DMA puts them on the same footing — comparing a store to a DMA directly would flatter whichever covers less ground.

05By account

Each client account on its own terms. The blended view above is dominated by whichever account spends most, so this is where a smaller account's problems become visible.

06What changed

Logged account changes in this range, newest first. Budget and status changes are the ones that move delivery — they are marked on the chart above. History before the API pipeline was in place came from the Google Ads interface export, which retains roughly two years.

07By campaign type

Each type judged on its own terms. Ranking metric differs by funnel position, because comparing a reach buy to a conversion campaign on the same number is how bad decisions get made.
